Consistent Pacing and Strategic Adjustments Wyatt Castro demonstrated notable consistency during the 2026 Surf City Half Marathon, maintaining an overall pace of 6:41 min/mile. His early splits showed impressive execution with a steady improvement from an initial 6:34 min/mile to 6:29 min/mile by the third mile, positioning him at 81st overall. This strong start is ideal for setting a confident race tone. However, some opportunities for refinement appeared in the later stages. After the fifth mile, pace adjustments led to slower splits, peaking at a 7:00 min/mile during the 11th-mile split. Focusing on maintaining early speed in the later segments could help maintain momentum. Despite these changes, Wyatt secured a final time of 1:27:36, placing 21st in his division among over 12,000 participants. Notably, his consistent pacing in the final two miles suggests good stamina endurance. Continuing to build strength in the middle sections should further enhance his performances.
