Consistent Pace with Strong Mid-Race Intervals Julie maintained a consistent pace throughout the race, displaying particular strength from miles 2 to 7 with all split paces ranging between 7:19 and 7:38 min/mile. Notably, her best split was at mile 6 with a time of 7:16 min/mile, showcasing her capability to push ahead in the early stages. Her placement also improved significantly from 143rd in her gender to as high as 46th at the 5-mile mark. In the latter part of the race, mile splits ranged from 7:38 to 8:36 min/mile, showing some deceleration. Despite this, Julie concluded her race with a solid finish and an overall time of 1:40:54, placing 21st in the F30-34 division, which is commendable given the large field of participants. For future races, focusing on maintaining her mid-race pace into the final miles could yield an even stronger overall performance.
