Consistent Performance Secures Division Win Brooke Lorz demonstrated commendable consistency in the 2026 Surf City Half Marathon, maintaining a steady pace with an overall time of 1:35:18, translating to a 7:16 min/mile pace over 13.1 miles. Brookes performance was distinguished by her holding the number one spot in her division, F15-19, and she's to be congratulated on maintaining this lead throughout the race. Analyzing her splits, Brooke started strong with a swift 6:57 min/mile for her first mile, and impressively held onto her division lead consistently. While she showed commendable endurance, her pace showed slight fluctuations especially after mile 7, with a period of gradual slowdown evident up to mile 9, where she clocked 7:44. However, Brookes final mile showed potential for a strong finish, as she improved her pace to 7:12. There might be opportunities to work on maintaining speed during the latter stages for even stronger future performances.
