Consistent Pace with a Strong Finish Stephanie Deuschle completed the 2026 Surf City Marathon with a time of 3:51:03, maintaining an impressive overall pace of 8:49 min/mile. Starting strong, she held a consistent pace through the first half of the race but saw a notable improvement in her placement positions, especially in the latter stages. Particularly interesting was her ability to maintain a pace predominantly around the 8:50 mark, with accelerating splits in miles 18 and 23 at 8:25 and 8:35 min/mile respectively. Stephanie placed 9th in her division (F20-24), finishing as the 61st female overall. Notably, her final mile was consistent with her overall average, cementing her position with a rise in the finishing ranks. For future races, maintaining her pace towards the end, avoiding large spikes like the 13:04 in mile 12, could optimize her overall performance and lead to even higher placement in her division standings.
