Consistent Performance with Strategic Advancement Diana Forero demonstrated steady pacing throughout the 5K Surf City race. Her splits show an impressive strategic improvement, starting with a 9:13 min/mile pace in the first mile. As she advanced to the second mile, her split pace improved slightly to 8:59 min/mile, which helped gain notable positions, moving from 170th in her gender to 150th. She continued her effort through the third mile with a pace of 9:07 min/mile, achieving her highest position, 107th in her gender category. Overall, Diana completed the race in 28:05 with a consistent average pace of 9:03 min/mile, placing 11th in her division of F40-44 out of a total of 5023 participants. Her advancement is noteworthy as she moved up significantly in overall gender places from start to finish. Working on maintaining that sub-9:00 pace could bring further gains in future races.
