Jake started strong with a first mile split of 5:31, positioning himself 19th overall and 6th in his division, maintaining a steady pace through the first half of the race. A strong surge at mile 6 (5:18) propelled him to 12th overall, showcasing his strength in maintaining competitive positioning early on. During the latter miles, notably miles 7 and 8, there was a slight slowdown, with splits of 5:59 and 6:35, impacting his overall placement.
