Consistent Pacing and Strong Finish Oma Skyrus displayed remarkable consistency in her performance at the 2026 Surf City 5K. She completed the race in 23:01, achieving an average pace of 7:25 minutes per mile. Her pacing strategy was steady, with splits of 7:38, 7:05, and 7:39 per mile. Notably, her second mile was the fastest segment, clocking in at 7:05, which highlights her ability to pick up the pace mid-race. Oma's reliable performance secured her a notable 6th place in the F25-29 age division, ranking 20th among female participants. Among 5020 total participants, she finished 124th overall. The positioning shows effective race strategies, but a slightly more aggressive start could enhance initial positioning in future races. As your coach, I'd suggest focusing on maintaining that impressive mid-race acceleration throughout.
