Consistent Pacing Elevates Performance at 2026 Surf City Half Marathon Alexander executed an impressive performance at the 2026 Surf City Half Marathon, achieving a final time of 1:15:06 and an average pace of 5:44 min/mile. Notably, he placed 5th in the Mens 30-34 division out of thousands of participants. His pacing was consistent throughout the race, maintaining an accurate pace close to his overall average in almost every mile, only slightly slower at miles 3, 5, and 6. Pacing between splits showed a brief slowdown, notably on the third mile (5:52 min/mile) but quickly recovered, demonstrating effective adaptability. Strong performances were observed during the 2nd and 12th miles where Alexander ran his fastest splits of 5:37 and 5:36 min/mile respectively. Notably, the decisive improvement from position 40 to 19 overall reflects the effectiveness of his race strategy. Consider focusing on sustaining high speed through the latter kilometers to advantageously maintain strong positioning gained in earlier stages. Well done, Alexander, on a highly consistent performance!
