Consistent Performance with Strong Mid-Race Splits Paolo Fidanque executed a noteworthy race at the 2026 Surf City Marathon, maintaining a strong pace throughout. He experienced a swift start, opening with a 7:00 pace and improving his pace to 6:40 by the second mile and maintaining below 7:00 per mile for most of the early race. Particularly impressive was the climb up the rankings to third place overall during the fifth mile with a fast 6:37 split. In the latter half, Paolo faced increased average paces, over 8:00 per mile between miles 17 and 25, which shows where some strategic adjustments might prove beneficial. Nonetheless, his performance remained impressive, closing out with a total time of 3:18:04, ranking consistently in the top 5 throughout much of the race. Focusing on maintaining earlier pace patterns in future races could significantly boost overall performance.
