Consistent Pacing with Strategic Improvements Fiona De Rego demonstrated a strong performance at the 2026 Surf City Half Marathon in Los Angeles, maintaining a steady pace throughout the 13.1-mile course. Starting with a swift 6:38 minute per mile pace for the first mile, Fiona showed her ability to push early. By the second mile, she improved her pace slightly to 6:36 min/mile, highlighting her strong beginning. Despite some variation in pace, Fiona kept it remarkably stable, finishing with an overall pace of 7:03 min/mile, which is commendable. She was able to maintain a placement within the top 12 of her division (F25-29) consistently. There is potential for refining the pacing strategy in the latter half of the race to reduce time fluctuations in miles 4 to 11, where pace slightly reduced from 6:59 to 7:28 min/mile. Focusing on maintaining a consistent pace in those sections could further improve her overall performance.
