Consistent Pace Enhances Positioning Amanda began the 5K race with a first mile split of 8:54, positioning well at 100th in her gender category and 22nd in her division. She maintained consistency and improved her pace in the second mile to 8:31 min/mile. This effort allowed her to climb in the ranks, moving up to 93rd among females and 17th in her division. During the final stretch, Amanda slowed slightly with a 9:10 pace for the third mile. Despite this, her cumulative performance was steady, finishing with an overall time of 27:28 and an average pace of 8:51 min/mile. Out of 5,023 participants, she placed 23rd in the F30-34 division. To refine her performance, focusing on pacing strategies during the later stages could help maintain or improve her pace at the conclusion of future events.
