Consistent Performance in the Second Half Eric Higashi demonstrated remarkable consistency in the 2026 Surf City Half Marathon, showing strong pacing throughout the race. Starting with a 6:45 min/mile for the first mile, Eric maintained a fairly steady pace with minor variations, such as a dip to 6:54 min/mile at the 4th mile. Notably, his last mile clocked in at 6:45 min/mile, bringing his total time to 1:28:00. Across 13.1 miles, his average pace was an impressive 6:43 min/mile, which placed him 21st in the M35-39 division out of a large field of competitors.
