Strong Start with Consistent Mid-race Effort Ruby Carter displayed an impressive start, maintaining a consistent sub-8 minute mile pace for the first three miles, landing consistently in 3rd place among female competitors. Her pace peaked at the fourth mile, with a slight decrease as she progressed beyond that point. She held a steady position between the 7th and 8th miles in overall standings, reflecting consistent pacing and a stable performance. In the second half of the race, Ruby's pace adjusted gradually. Her split pace ranged from 9:06 to 11:30 min/mile from mile seven onwards, a crucial segment for maintaining her standing. She concluded the half marathon with an elapsed time of 2:04:20, averaging a pace of 9:29 min/mile. Her overall placing was commendable, finishing in 17th out of 26 participants. For future races, maintaining her starting intensity or slightly increasing split times could further enhance her performance.
