Consistent Pace with a Strong Finish Grant's performance at the 2026 Surf City Half Marathon was notable for its consistent pacing and strong finish. With each mile, Grant maintained an impressive average pace of 6:33 min/mile, completing the 13.1-mile course in 1:25:51. His pacing strategy saw an even distribution of effort throughout most of the race, with a few splits slightly faster or slower, such as the 6:08 min/mile pace on mile 12, leading to an exceptional 6:04 min/mile in the final mile. Throughout the race, Grant showed consistent improvement and was able to finish in the top tier of his division, securing 6th place in the M15-19 category among 12,408 participants.
