Consistent Performance with Early Momentum Gabriel Ferreyra showed impressive consistency throughout the 2026 Surf City Half Marathon. The initial mile started strong with a split time of 5:20 and an overall placement of 10th. Gabriel maintained an early momentum, improving to 8th position by the 2-mile mark with a split pace improvement to 5:17 min/mile. By mile 4, Gabriel took the lead in the M25-29 division, showcasing strategic pacing. In the second half of the race, while placement varied, Gabriel effectively sustained a pace close to 5:31 min/mile, finishing with an overall time of 1:12:25. Despite an incremental pace variation, particularly between miles 10 and 13, Gabriel efficiently completed the race placing 4th in the highly competitive M25-29 division. Focusing on maintaining a consistent pace throughout the later miles could bolster race finishes even further, particularly holding the initial momentum observed in the first half.
