Consistent Top Performance Across All Splits Piper Atnip maintained an impressive pace throughout the 2026 Surf City Half Marathon, finishing with a time of 1:14:33 and an overall pace of 5:41 min/mile. Piper achieved a top position as the 1st female finisher out of 12,408 participants. Consistency was a highlight, as she continuously held the leading position in her gender and division from the 3rd mile onwards. Analyzing her splits, Piper demonstrated remarkable effort, breaking the 5:40 min/mile mark twice, at miles 2 and 12 with paces of 5:37 and 5:33 respectively. An area to focus on could be the slight increase in pace during the 10th mile at 5:51 min/mile. However, finishing strong with the fastest pace in mile 12 shows a capability to push when needed. Exploring strategies to maintain her early-morning pace into the later miles could further enhance her already strong performance.
