Steady Improvement with a Strong Finish Campbell Coddington consistently improved throughout the 2026 Surf City Marathon. Starting with a 9:00 min/mile pace in the first mile, she steadily gained speed, notably achieving her fastest split in mile 10 with a 7:52 min/mile pace. Her strategic pacing can be observed, as she climbed in rank over several splits, moving from 744th overall in the first mile to finishing at 491st. While fatigue may have set in during the later miles, with slower splits from mile 19 onwards, Coddington maintained resilience and fought hard until the end.
