Consistent Early Pace, Challenging Finish in Surf City Marathon Tiffany started strong, maintaining a swift pace during the initial segments of the Surf City Marathon. Her first three splits held at an impressive average pace of about 7:23-7:30 min/mile, placing her near the top in her division and gender, notably hitting 5th in her F25-29 group after the first mile. She handled the first half of the race with a consistent pace, revealing strong pacing skills early on. As the race progressed, sustaining the initial momentum became a challenge. The pace began to gradually slow, notably during miles 19 to 24, where split times dropped into the 9:23 to 12:50 min/mile range. However, finishing at 15th in her division for the last mile split showed a critical push towards the end. Focusing on strategies for the latter half of races could further enhance her performance. Keep pushing, the start was strong!
