Steady Performance with Strong Start Jazmin Lopez maintained a consistent pace throughout the 2026 Surf City 5K. Her initial 8:53 min/mile set a solid tone, positioning her 11th in the F20-24 division. Demonstrating improvement in the second mile, she recorded her fastest split at 8:40 min/mile, despite slight increases in race pace later on. Overall, Jazmin clocked in an 8:55 min/mile average, completing the race in 27:40. A noteworthy aspect is her resilience; though her pace dipped slightly in the last mile, it's commendable that she kept within a close range throughout.
