Consistent Start, Slower Finish Chris Terhune maintained a steady pace in the early miles of the 2026 Runtastic TIMP Half Marathon, clocking consistent 8:30 min/mile splits for the first two miles. His initial performance had him placed 24th in the M45-49 division. However, as the race progressed, there was a noticeable deceleration, which can be seen in the increasing split times from mile 3 onwards. Particularly, mile 7 showed a significant slowdown with a split time of 12:10 min/mile. The final mile was completed with a 13:38 split pace. Ultimately, Chris finished with an overall time of 2:28:39 and an average pace of 11:20 min/mile, placing 47th in his division. Focusing on consistency in pacing throughout the race could be an area to explore. Great effort and dedication throughout this half marathon challenge, Chris! Keep up the strong work with Team Gideon.
