Strong Finish and Consistent Pace in Division Jason Nelson maintained a remarkably steady pace throughout the 2026 Runtastic TIMP Half Marathon, completing the 13.1-mile course with an overall time of 1:23:42 and an average pace of 6:23 min/mile. Notably, Jason secured the 2nd place in the M35-39 division, with a total of 1280 participants in the race. The early splits were consistent, starting at a 6:36 min/mile pace for the first mile and progressively accelerating. By mile 5, Jason was running at a solid 6:08 min/mile, demonstrating his ability to gain momentum over the course. From mile 4 onwards, Jason consistently maintained a position within the top 30. The greatest acceleration was seen between miles 4 and 5, where his pace dropped to 6:08 min/mile, helping him move up the ranks. For continued improvement, integrating some specific hill training could boost performance in the final miles, enhancing both speed and endurance further.
