Consistent Division Lead Until Fifth Mile Slowdown Eriq Rhees commenced the 2026 Runtastic TIMP 10K with an outstanding start, maintaining division lead M25-29 for the first four miles. His splits were consistent and strong, with initial steady paces of 7:41, 7:22, 7:18, and 7:35 per mile. His consistent performance kept him within the top overall 14 places and the top 12 for his gender through this segment. However, the fifth mile saw a slowing to an 8:04 pace, which resulted in Eriq dropping a few positions overall and in his gender category. Despite this slowdown, Eriq managed to maintain a commendable pace in the final mile, finishing with an overall time of 46:57 and a solid division second place. Looking ahead, focusing on maintaining pace through the later stages of the race can help optimize his completion time and maintain higher standings.
