Consistent Performance with Strong Early Splits McKay Larsen showcased an impressive performance during the 2026 Runtastic TIMP Half Marathon. Starting strong, McKay completed the first mile with a swift 5:00 min/mile pace, positioning himself at the forefront of the race. By the third mile, McKay had maintained a pace of 5:08 min/mile, momentarily reclaiming first place. Over the first half of the race, his ability to remain within the top three highlights his competitive consistency. McKay completed the race with an overall time of 1:11:30, securing an impressive 3rd place overall out of 1,280 participants. While the pace slightly waned towards the later stages, maintaining a 5:27 min/mile average pace through to the finish demonstrates strong endurance. Working on maintaining the early speed into the latter miles could enhance future performance.
