Leading the Division with Endurance Gavin Hirsch completed the 2026 Casper Marathon in 3:53:41, maintaining an overall average pace of 8:55 min/mile. Impressively, Gavin secured 1st place in the M0-19 division. Early in the race, splits show consistent top placements with faster paces, such as 6:55 min/mile for the first mile and 7:13 min/mile by the second mile. Consistent top-10 overall placement at the beginning shows effective early strategy. As the race progressed, fluctuations in pace were noted. Mile 9 marked a notable drop with an 8:51 min/mile pace, and further gradual slowing was observed, concluding at 11:05 min/mile in the final mile. While overall and gender rankings fluctuated between positions, maintaining 1st in the age division indicates strong competition performance. A focus on late-race pacing could offer potential gains in future races, allowing for a stronger finish.
