Strong Start with Consistent Pace Sebastian Ruiz maintained an impressive pace, starting the race with an initial mile of 6:19, which was his fastest split. This early momentum set a strong tone as he consistently ranked high, finishing as 4th overall and 3rd in his division. Over the first half of the race, his pace remained steady, with split times ranging from 6:31 to 6:47 min/mile, demonstrating his ability to sustain a competitive speed. Towards the latter section, there was a noticeable slowdown with split times reaching up to 11:00 min/mile in the final mile. Throughout, Sebastian maintained a top overall and gender position, reflecting his competitiveness among 94 participants. Although the last few miles showed a decrease in pace, feedback would center around maintaining energy during the latter stage. Overall, finishing with an elapsed time of 1:40:20 and an average pace of 7:39 min/mile is a solid achievement.
