Consistent Pacing Leads to Division Victory Kristi Seff, 27, from Gillette, WY, demonstrated strong and consistent pacing at the 2026 Casper Marathon, finishing with an elapsed time of 3:44:51 and an average pace of 8:34 min/mile across the 26.2 miles. Throughout the race, Kristi maintained a steady rhythm, with her split times ranging from a swift 7:18 min/mile at mile 3 to 10:36 min/mile at the final mile. This consistent effort rewarded her with 1st place in the Womens F20-29 Division out of a field of 104 participants. Kristis strategic pacing kept her within the top ranks, peaking at 8th place overall during mile 24. Her ability to adjust and maintain her position in the final miles was pivotal. Notably, Kristis early mid-race splits showed impressive pacing below the 8:00 min/mile mark, particularly her mile 3 split of 7:18. To further refine, focusing on maintaining earlier strength in the latter half could enhance future performance.
