Consistent Performance with Solid Division Placement Stephen Diaz showcased a steady performance in the 2026 Casper Marathon Half Marathon. His initial pacing was commendable, starting with a 7:48 min/mile for the first mile, maintaining this pace through the first two miles, and even improving to 7:44 at the third mile. Notably, he secured first place in his M40-49 division during the early stage of the race but later transitioned to third place by the end. From miles 4 to 13, Stephen's pace varied slightly, ending with an average pace of 8:35 min/mile. His placement of third in the M40-49 division is a highlight, as well as maintaining an overall position between 12th and 16th throughout the race field of 94 participants. One area to consider for future races might be maintaining the earlier pace more consistently in the final miles, where the pace slowed to 10:38 min/mile during mile 13. Overall, a commendable performance.
