Consistent Effort With Key Mid-Race Gains Miguel Herrera demonstrated a consistent performance during the 2026 Casper Marathon Half Marathon. His initial pace at the 1-mile mark was 7:23 min/mile, maintaining an impressive third position in his division throughout the early stages. Notably, he gained positions in the third and fourth miles, maintaining a solid pace of 7:22 and 7:20 min/mile, respectively. This middle segment consistency is noteworthy, allowing Herrera to maintain strong division positioning. In the latter stages, the 8th mile saw a minor drop to an 8:17 min/mile pace, followed by a more noticeable deceleration in the 9th and 10th miles, at 9:28 and 9:12 min/mile, respectively. Despite this, Herrera regained a top-ten gender position by mile 10, reflecting his resilience. He completed the half marathon with an overall time of 1:50:29, at an 8:26 min/mile average pace. For future events, focusing on maintaining pace during the final miles could support overall performance.
