Consistent Performance Secures First in Division Ann Heaslett ran the 2026 Casper Marathon with a final time of 3:54:24. She maintained a solid average pace of 8:56 min/mile across the 26.2-mile course. Notably, Ann displayed early consistency with her initial mile clocking in at 8:03, placing her in the top ranks of her division, F60-69, from start to finish. She upheld this position by completing her marathon as the 1st in her division. While her pace began strong, recording splits under 8:10 min/mile in the first half of the race, there was a gradual slowing after mile 13, with her slowest split of 11:10 occurring in the final mile. Ann finished at 16th overall and 7th in her gender category. To refine her end-phase strategy, focus might be placed on maintaining pace during the later miles for future marathons. Ann's top performance in her division reflects an excellent execution of her race strategy.
