Consistent Performance with Mid-Race Challenges Yves began the race steadily, maintaining a pacing strategy that saw his fastest split at mile 3 with a pace of 9:43 min/mile. Notably, between miles 2 and 3, he significantly improved his position, moving up from 869th to 504th overall. By mile 4, however, there was a noticeable deceleration, highlighted by a split time of 10:41 min/mile which affected his overall ranking. As the race progressed, Yves faced further pacing challenges, seen especially from miles 21 to 26 where his split pace slowed, peaking at 12:58 min/mile between miles 25 and 26. Despite these adjustments, his perseverance through the marathon rewarded him with a final time of 4:52:17, securing a respectable 18th in his division, M60-64. For future races, maintaining consistent energy through the latter miles may see further improvement in both pace and placement.
