Consistent Pacing with Strategic Gains Mid-Race Anna started with an impressive pace, holding steady at around 8:29 min/mile through the initial miles. From mile 3 to 5, her pace consistently picked up, momentarily improving her division position to 5th at mile 3. A slight drop in placement occurred mid-race, but her pacing remained controlled, never deviating far from her early consistency. Notably, she pushed hard around mile 9, hitting an 8:13 min/mile split, which briefly improved her division standing. Her ability to maintain an even pace throughout the marathon was commendable, averaging 8:41 min/mile by the end. Though the final miles saw some splits around 9 min/mile, it was in these areas a touch more focus might yield tighter performance. Overall, Anna ranked 14th in the F35-39 division, against a competitive field of 1834 participants, finishing with a total time of 3:47:44. Continuing to focus on steady pacing and finishing speed could further enhance future race outcomes.
