Consistent Strides with a Strong Finish Keenan Haga showed remarkable pacing discipline in the Marathon race held at the 2026 M&T Bank Vermont City, clocking a total elapsed time of 4:54:27. His average pace was 11:14 min/mile, with a stable performance across the 26.2-mile course. He notably accelerated in the final miles, specifically miles 22 to 26, with his pace dropping below 10 minutes per mile, culminating in an encouraging 9:09 min/mile split in the final stretch. Keenan placed 30th in the M55-59 division, which highlights his strong standing in his age group. Notably, his consistent pacing throughout the race indicates reliable endurance capabilities. While earlier parts of the race exhibited slower splits such as 15:01 min/mile at mile 16, his faster segment times towards the end suggest an untapped potential for an earlier speed increase. Focusing on maintaining quicker paces earlier could enhance his overall timing in future events.
