During the race, they demonstrated strong pacing, with noticeable improvement around the sixth mile, clocking a swift pace of 11:43 min/mile. A similar surge occurred at mile nine with an impressive 11:39 min/mile pace. Strategically, there's room to refine the pacing during miles 21 and 22, where the pace slightly slipped to 13:34 and 13:25 min/mile, respectively. Ashley excelled towards the final stretch with a pace of 11:44 min/mile at mile 26. This indicates room for harnessing energy more effectively for longer stretches.
