Consistent Pacing and a Strong Finish Darius Parker executed a remarkable performance in the 2026 M&T Bank Vermont City Marathon. Maintaining consistent pacing, with an overall elapsed pace of 5:33 min/mile, Darius demonstrated steady determination. Notable splits include a strong finish with a final split pace of 5:24 min/mile from mile 25 to the end, indicative of a well-managed energy reserve. Achieving a place of 2nd in his division, M16-24, he displayed impressive stamina and speed throughout the race. A highlight was Darius's ability to improve positioning. From placing 16th overall at the outset to securing 8th as the race concluded, his strategic approach demonstrated adept skill in navigating the course and maintaining pace. As coach, my constructive feedback would focus on analyzing split data, specifically addressing any pace increases after mile 15, aiming to sustain improved positioning earlier. His performance was notably consistent, a testament to his training and focus.
