His initial five miles demonstrated precise pacing, with a steady average pace of 7:00 min/mile. Notably, he improved his position from 159th to 157th overall during these initial miles. In the latter stages, there was a noticeable deceleration, evidenced by splits slowing to 8:35-8:48 min/mile between miles 20 and 22. Despite this, Andrew managed to maintain a respectable overall pace of 7:38 min/mile, completing the marathon in 3:20:14.
