Consistent Pacing with a Strong Finish Stephanie Unekis maintained a steady pace throughout the 2026 M&T Bank Vermont City Marathon. Starting with an 11:25 min/mile, she progressed with consistent pace improvements, reaching a swift 10:34 min/mile at the 9-mile mark. The first half of the race was marked by a noticeable improvement, quicker pace, and placing roles such as 23rd in her division at mile 6. In the later stages, Stephanie carried her consistency beyond the 20-mile mark. Although her pace slightly dropped, she concluded the race with an overall pace of 11:20 min/mile. Notably, her final mile was completed in 11:15 min/mile, displaying a commendable finish. With 1211th place overall out of 1834 participants, Stephanie placed 28th in her division and 463rd among female participants. For future races, working on maintaining speed in the second half could benefit overall placement and may enhance her performance even further.
