Consistent Pace with Strong Finish Casey Dunn exhibited exceptional consistency throughout the 2026 M&T Bank Vermont City Marathon. Navigating the 26.2-mile course, Casey finished with a total time of 3:08:22, maintaining an average pace of 7:11 min/mile. As he continued, Casey held his split times within seconds of each other, particularly from mile 5 to mile 16, where all splits hovered close to the 7:12 min/mile mark. This consistent pacing demonstrates excellent endurance and race strategy. In the latter stages, Casey demonstrated an ability to accelerate, as seen with a fast 6:47 min/mile split at mile 18. His overall placement was 157th out of 1834 participants, securing 8th place in the M45-49 age division. These results reflect not only a commendable level of fitness but also a smart approach to race pacing. Continued focus on this consistency during training will likely see further improvements in future competitions.
