Smooth Start, Challenging Finish in Vermont City Marathon Miranda maintained a steady pace during the initial half of the race, beginning with a solid first mile at 11:07 min/mile. There was a notable improvement in pace, reaching 10:31 min/mile at mile 6. Mirandas performance in sub-11:00 pace improved her placement, moving as high as 671 overall and 60th in her division at mile three, making it a remarkable stretch. In the latter part of the marathon, Miranda witnessed a decline in pace, eventually averaging a 12:04 min/mile by race end. Her consistent effort enabled her to finish with a time of 5:16:33. While she transitioned through the rankings, starting in 115th and fluctuating, there was a prominent moment of resilience during mile 8 with a quicker pace of 9:59 min/mile.
