Consistent Splits with Strong Momentum Brian Eastwood maintained a relatively steady pace throughout the 2026 M&T Bank Vermont City Marathon. His early splits were consistent, ranging around 7:37 to 7:42 min/mile from mile 1 to mile 19. Notably, he had a peak performance with a split time of 7:27 at mile 9, which demonstrated his capability to push harder during the mid-phase of the marathon. In the latter half, particularly from mile 20 onward, his pace slowed, ranging from 8:31 to 8:56 min/mile by mile 25. However, Eastwood finished with an overall time of 3:26:23, translating to an average pace of 7:52 min/mile. This performance positioned him 15th in his division (M45-49) out of a total of 1834 participants. Focusing on maintaining that early momentum might help to finish with even more consistency.
