Consistent Splits with Room for Strategic Adjustments Liza Perdew completed the 2026 M&T Bank Vermont City Marathon with a final time of 4:57:19, maintaining an average pace of 11:20 min/mile across the 26.2-mile course. Her position overall was 1214 out of 1834 participants, and she achieved a placement of 466th in her gender and 121st in her age division. Notably, she held steady performances with her fastest mile splits recorded during miles 5 and 6 at 9:52 min/mile and 9:55 min/mile, respectively. Throughout the race, Liza showed consistency, gradually improving her standing in several parts of the course. Early in the race, she transitioned from an 11:29 pace in mile 3 to 10:45 in mile 12. However, there were slower segments, particularly from mile 16 with a 12:31 min/mile split, and mile 21 reflected a 17:11 min/mile pace. Focusing on the latter stages of the race could yield time improvements in future races.
