Consistent Pacing with Strong Mid-Race Performance In the 2026 M&T Bank Vermont City Marathon, Eric Schiavo completed the 26.2-mile course in 4:56:26 with an overall pace of 11:18 min/mile. Noteworthy is his steady pacing through much of the race, maintaining an impressive consistency between the 5th and 15th miles, with paces mostly hovering around the 10:45 to 10:56 min/mile range. His standout moment came during the 9th mile, where he registered his quickest split time of 10:22 min/mile. While he showed strong pacing in the earlier segments, a slight decrement is visible towards the end, with split times of over 12 minutes in the later stages. Focusing on maintaining even pacing throughout the entire race could enhance performance. Despite these fluctuations, Eric demonstrated commendable consistency, especially in the middle sections, which can be built upon for future races. Continuing to work on pace strategies could yield even stronger results.
