Strong Progress Despite Late Race Slowdown Paul Garwood executed a steady pace at the 2026 M&T Bank Vermont City Marathon, maintaining an average pace of 7:32 min/mile over the 26.2-mile course. Starting at 7:40 min/mile, his speed improved with a 6:54 min/mile peak split at mile 9. His top placements were 18th in his division by mile 3, but he consistently hovered in the top third of participants throughout the race.
