Consistent Pacing and Strong Finish David maintained a consistent pace throughout the race, finishing the marathon in 3:18:25 with an average pace of 7:34 min/mile. He started the first mile at a pace of 8:45 min/mile, then progressively improved his pace in subsequent miles, notably hitting his fastest split of 7:14 min/mile during Mile 12. This steady improvement and maintenance of pace resulted in a significant gain in overall placement, moving up from 466th to 227th overall by the end of the race. In the latter stages, particularly in Miles 21-26, David held strong, managing to maintain a pace between 7:17 and 7:39 min/mile. His strategic increase in pace helped his position in his division (M30-34), securing a 39th place finish out of 66 participants. Focusing on maintaining early race consistency could yield even more impressive results in the future. Keep honing that strong finishing ability!
