Consistent Early Splits with Late Race Variation Rylee maintained a strong pace in the first half of the race, with several splits below 7:30 min/mile, particularly excelling around miles 3, 4, and 5, achieving consistent placements between 200th and 240th overall. This pace reflects focused training efforts and solid race strategy, resulting in notable gains in division placement, peaking at 23rd in division during mile 9. In the latter half, Rylee faced challenges with a gradual slowdown, clocking in at over 8:30 min/mile from mile 16 onward. Despite an overall 8:15 min/mile pace, there was a notable shift in standings during the final stretch, falling to 46th in division by the 26th mile with the final four miles showing increased splits over 9 minutes. Identifying the cause of the slowdown could enhance future performances, possibly through pacing adjustments or race plan refinement to maintain energy and momentum in later miles.
