Steady Improvement and Strong Finish Sarah Dramstad demonstrated consistent progress throughout the 2026 M&T Bank Vermont City Marathon. Starting at a pace of 11:22 min/mile at the first mile, she improved her pace robustly to 10:24 min/mile by mile 6. Notably, her ninth mile was the fastest at 9:41 min/mile, showing impressive acceleration mid-race. While there were some slower miles towards the end, including a 12:28 min/mile at mile 21, she closed with a commendable 10:23 min/mile in the final mile. Despite slowing slightly in the latter part of the race, Sarah maintained a stable overall pace of 11:02 min/mile, resulting in a final time of 4:49:04. Of 1834 participants, she placed 432nd among females and 94th in her division (F25-29). For future races, she might consider focusing on maintaining her mid-race burst of speed to improve consistency in the latter stages. Outstanding effort!
