Consistent Pacing with Strong Mid-Race Performance McKinley Green delivered a commendable performance in the 2026 M&T Bank Vermont City Marathon, maintaining a consistent pace throughout the race. He started with an 8:28 min/mile in the first mile and quickly improved, clocking his fastest split at mile 5 with a 7:47 min/mile. Notably, McKinley's mid-race splits from mile 9 to mile 13 were consistently around the 7:56 to 8:09 min/mile range, showcasing significant stability in difficult middle sections. In the latter part of the marathon, there was a noticeable gradual increase in split times. The final three miles saw splits over 9:40 min/mile, suggesting that maintaining the earlier pace was challenging.
