Consistent Marathon Performance with Strong Mid-Race Gains Ashley Barber completed the 2026 M&T Bank Vermont City Marathon with an overall time of 4:49:13, maintaining an average pace of 11:02 min/mile. Starting strong, Ashley improved significantly by the second split, advancing from 1104th to 641st place overall and 418th to 228th in her gender category. She maintained great consistency from miles 6 to 10, consistently finishing around the same pace and holding her position securely. While Ashley showed promising strength in the middle miles, particularly at mile 9 where she moved up to 975th place overall, the later stages saw a slight drop in pace, especially from miles 20 onwards. The initial gains demonstrate potential for fine-tuning endurance towards the latter half of the marathon. Her consistent performance in the early and mid-race stages was commendable, with finishes in 39th place in her division. Focusing on boosting late-race stamina could further enhance future performances.
