Strong Start with Consistent Early Splits Brendon began his marathon with an impressive pace, clocking the first mile at 8:11, followed by a consistent improvement through the following splits, reaching a remarkable 7:21 by mile five. His placement improved significantly from 299th to 142nd overall by mile three and he maintained a top 50 position in the M30-34 division during this phase. Notably, he handled miles six through 10 efficiently, maintaining a steady pace where his splits ranged between 7:21 and 7:44. As the race progressed beyond mile 10, a shift occurred at mile 16 with a significant pace drop to 8:59, which affected his overall placement. Placement in the male division grew challenging by mile 21, and the final miles saw average pacing dip to 10:23 at mile 25. Managing even splits in the closing miles could be an area Brendon may choose to focus on for future races. Nonetheless, crossing the finish line with a time of 3:42:45 reflects resilience and determination.
