Consistent Effort with Strategic Improvement Needed Eric Tucker from Washington, DC completed the 2026 M&T Bank Vermont City Marathon, covering 26.2 miles in 4:44:32. Maintaining a relatively consistent pace initially, his first mile was clocked at a 9:31 pace. Impressively, Eric managed to pick up speed around the third mile, running at 9:06 min/mile. Over the course of the race, he progressed through changing paces, with a notable slow-down after mile 13, reaching a 14:13 min/mile by mile 14. One area for potential focus could be maintaining earlier pacing strength throughout the latter stages of the marathon. The latter portion of the race saw several miles in the 10-minute range, with a significant drop at mile 21 with a 14:58 min/mile pace. Despite this, Eric finished with an overall pace of 10:51 min/mile and stayed within the top 60% of marathon finishers, placing 1106th out of 1834 participants.
