Consistent Early Pace, Strong Division Placement Jacob Lehmann Duke had an impressive start at the 2026 M&T Bank Vermont City Marathon, maintaining a strong and consistent pace throughout the initial stages of the race. Through the first six miles, he held a pace of around 5:20 min/mile, showcasing his preparedness and ability to maintain speed. Notably, Jacob secured the 1st place in his division (M16-24) up till mile 10, which is a testament to his competitive edge early on. In the latter part of the marathon, his pace adjusted to a range between 5:45 and 5:46 min/mile. Crossing the finish line with an overall time of 2:31:00, Jacob placed 4th in his division out of a strong field of competitors. Effective pacing strategies in future races might help to withstand the pace variations observed from mile 19 onward, aiming to stay within the top ranks consistently. His performance overall was commendable and shows significant potential for future events.
